Lucky Peak State Park, Idaho

Have you decided on the state of Idaho for a vacation just because you have never been there? Then you need to know all about the Lucky Peak State Park since naturally you will want to visit. The park is divided into four different parts. One is at the bottom of the Lucy Dam and is the perfect spot for picnics. The spring shores area is a boater’s paradise and the discovery unit is a great fishing spot.

The back country yurts are where you want to go for the peace and quiet you crave. This is especially true if you are on vacation to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday. There are comfortable accommodations here and the sunsets are absolutely spectacular. They are only rivaled by the sunrise. This area is perfect for mountain biking in the right weather. However, these trails are used for skiing when the snow covers the ground in the winter.

In addition to the park, which is only eight miles from Boise, there are many other activities that you may enjoy. Golfing, float trips and hot air balloons will provide even more enjoyment in the area. The orchards where you can pick your own fruit will make a great adventure for the kids. Rock climbing is still yet another adventure and if you are into art, there are several galleries that you can visit. From horseback riding to wineries, cultural centers and museums there is always something to do in Idaho.
